Footprint comes first
Rollovers run on floor rails, so the bay must be long enough for the rail run and wide enough for the machine. EPHESUS runs on a 10 m rail at a 300 cm gauge, and the machine itself is up to 365 cm wide and 400 cm high.
ACROBAT 2X is modular and can be installed in tight spaces. Its plant length is 6.5 to 15 m, specified for each site, with a machine up to 4.20 m wide and 3.20 m high.
SUNRISE travels on fixed rails at a 400 cm gauge. The machine is 465 cm wide without its water shields, which add 14 cm each side, and stands 510 cm high as a W4000 or 560 cm as a W4700. A conveyor tunnel needs a lane for 9 to 30 m of modules, or more on a longer build.

Power and compressed air
Installed power varies more than any other figure across the range. EPHESUS runs from 3 kW. ACROBAT 2X needs 35 kW to wash, 33 kW to dry and 75 kW with every unit running. Optional equipment on SUNRISE changes its installed power, and is quoted per site. On a conveyor tunnel, drying is a large share of the load: the standard set totals 17 HP, and long tunnels run up to 12 x 11 kW fans.
EPHESUS, ACROBAT 2X and SUNRISE all need compressed air at 6 bar. Flow ranges from 15 lt/min on SUNRISE to 56 lt/min on EPHESUS while running. Size the compressor to the machine you choose and anything else on the site that shares it.
Water supply, drainage and recovery
Feed pressure sits between 3.5 and 4 bar on EPHESUS, ACROBAT 2X and SUNRISE. Flow is where machines differ. EPHESUS uses 60 to 80 lt/min while running, and ACROBAT 2X uses 18 to 250 lt/vehicle depending on the program.
Drainage needs planning early. ACROBAT 2X drain requirements are confirmed at the proforma stage. A SUNRISE chassis wash sits over a reinforced concrete substructure. Water recovery and cold-weather packages change the water requirement and are quoted per site.

- EPHESUS, with 3 kW installed and 0.15 kWh per vehicle. SUNRISE uses 0.12 to 0.15 kWh per vehicle.
- Does a SUNRISE gantry need special groundwork?
- Site needs are a concrete lane, power, water and compressed air. The chassis wash sits over a reinforced concrete substructure.
- Can the specification change for my site?
- Yes. Europe Makine builds in its own facility and states that specifications can be changed for a site.
- What electrical supply do the rollovers need?
- EPHESUS and SUNRISE are specified at 380 V / 50 Hz, and ACROBAT 2X at 400 V. Confirm your supply against the machine in the quotation.
